I was reminded this week about the difference between people who are successful online and people who aren’t. The main differentiation I believe is being authentic and believing in what you are doing or selling. One of the other main points is matching your online and offline personalities.
Many of those people who you meet online initially are very different when you meet them offline. They project one image online and when you actually meet they are nothing like their profiles etc suggest. This can be for the better or worse of course but it is usually the latter.
What do you want people to think of you online? The answer should be very easy. If you walk the walk and talk the talk then you should be the image you are projecting because that image should be a faithful reflection of what you really are.
Have a look at the video and see what you think as it is based on a real experience this week.
