If you have ever been involved with online marketing you will be aware that every week new stuff comes out that can make your life easier, faster, more profitable, more attractive to the opposite sex etc… However if you are currently doing something online that makes you an income, makes you happy, backs up your business or anything similar then these shiny new objects may well be considered superfluous.

Shiny New Things

Shiny New Things

Ar the moment I have a lot of invites to try out new services and a whole host of plugins and software to play with that all sound excellent. However, will any of them be used? Really I am not sure. The shiny new things are all tempting but this year my plan is rather more focussed than in previous years and one of the things I have pledged myself to do is ignore shiny new objects to a great extent and concentrate on what works. So I put together a plan with daily tasks, weekly tasks and monthly tasks, things that need to get done in order to keep the income flowing and the projects moving forward. Within that plan not once can I see any mention of shiny new objects and things. Therefore they now get ignored.

So my questions to you today are very simple, are you still flitting from shiny new thing to shiny new thing or are you finally settling down with a project that works? Have you planned out what you need to be doing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to move yourself forward, and more importantly are you carrying out those actions and plans, or are you just hoping that if you throw enough sh** against the wall then some of it will stick.

I would be interested in knowing.
