I don’t like to leave things unfinished. Do you? Therefore when I suggested to myself that it might be a good idea to produce a lot of videos very quickly it seemed like an interesting challenge. However I know myself intimately after so many years in my company and I knew if I didn’t put a huge hole in the project very quickly and get the whole World as accountability partners making sure I followed through on the project that it might fizzle out a bit.

Therefore I announced to some people I work with that I was going to do it and at the end of the first day’s filming I told the World through Twitter and a blog post on my other blog. Once you have announced something to the World you have to go through with it otherwise people might think that you are not serious when you propose something.

The marvels of accountability partners are well documented. It forms the basis of Mastermind Groups where you are accountable to the rest of the people in your group and you don’t want to let them down or vice versa. However it is just the same when you announce something to the World. The World can act as your accountability partner.

So anyway I decided to make 100 videos and to make sure I put a big hole in it I decided to make the videos as soon as possible. It took me four days, I crowdsourced some of the content from people on twitter who already live in Spain and made up the rest based on the FAQ’s we always get on the site.

So anyway Sunday will see tip number 6 produced and I now have to do this for the next three months because I have so much content ready now that life has suddenly become a lot easier. I also have a product if I want to do it that way and a podcast a load of video clips and interviews lined up with lots of people to increase the PR and reaction.

So what can you propose to do yourself in your own market that will make you follow through?

  3. I also always see to it to finish anything that I started. Not finishing anything is bad publicity and looks kind of disorganized. S, especially if it’s known or announced you have to finish it. Your credibility is at stake.
