The World Bank has come out with a rather shocking picture of what it is like trying to operate a business in Spain. As explained in the video below, Spain ranks 62nd in the World for ease of conducting business, that is just behind World powerhouse economies like Mongolia and Tonga.

Now if you read my post about the Dynamism of the Spanish Entrepreneur here then you might not be at all surprised at this news. However for a country which is trying to get out of a crippling economic crisis the report paints a grim picture of what it is like trying to run a Spanish business.

Luckily I prefer my glass half full. Because of the difficulty in getting anything up and running there is a lot less competition for those of us who do manage to overcome the bureaucracy and the red tape of officialdom.

What are your experiences of Entrepreneurship in your country? Is it encouraged? Or is it like Spain?
