Where Would You Draw The Line

Here I am sitting having lunch and wondering if it is possible to be too busy? The last week has been a haze of doing stuff and all of it for a change is heading in the right direction but focus is totally impossible with all of these things requiring time and differing skillsets. So what is happening?

Hitting Your Targets Offline

Last week I wrote an article about hitting your targets focussed on the online markets. Today it is the turn of offline and again the process is similar with the same mantra, “if you don’t know where you are heading then it doesn’t matter which way you set out”.

Progress on The Bootstrapping Book and an Interview

As you will know if you have been following the blog I am co-writing a book at the moment. Tentatively called “The Bootstrapping Book – How to start up a business from nothing” (Catchy title I know) it comprises ten chapters with various ideas for getting started in your own business without having to buy stock, rent a place to conduct your business or, in essence, put money down.

What Is Your Lifestyle Business?

Tim Ferriss called it a muse. Something that you set up and then it pays for you to actually enjoy your life and get you out of the 9-5 lifestyle. A business set up in this way takes time to create though. You cannot just set it up in a couple of days and then watch as you enjoy the fruits of your labors. It takes much longer. During the time you are setting it up you may need to work very long hours especially if you are planning to get out of your current job and are therefore setting it up at night and the weekends. However, you need to find your muse and set it up first of course so how do you do it?

Five Business Books You Really Should Read

If you are thinking of starting up a business and moving on in life then there are always certain books that will help you apart from the obvious ebooks. I have chosen five books that should be read and will be posting a why for each of them over the next few weeks. Some of them are rather obvious and a couple are a little more left field.

Third Party Installed Perceptions

I walk into a room and I start telling you how great I am, how I can solve all of your problems and that my company is the best. You tell me to go forth and multiply or when you finally get away from me you tell everyone else what a total pr**k I am.
