How To Make The 16 Hour Workday Into The Four Hour Workweek

For many years working as an estate agent in the Spanish property market a 16 hour day was considered for wimps. 18 hours a day 7 days a week and no holidays was the norm. We were so busy that we literally had no time to build a business and therefore when things slowed down of course the business didn’t work too well.

Conceptualising The Net and Making Money

I have to say that it took me some time to realise that you could actually, and I hate this word, monetise the internet. For years I understood that you had to physically sell something on the internet to actually earn money. The reason was simple. I had an estate agency and the internet generated leads in the form of clients who came over and bought a house for sale in Spain. Simple really. However that is slightly removed from actually earning money on the internet. That is a real world business supported by a shop window of the internet presence.

Making Your Market Your Fans

First you earn the trust of your clients then you earn their friends. For years in my real estate business I have been looking long term, looking to give an excellent service in return for respect, excellent word of mouth reputation and possible referrals. The payback comes in what is the lifetime value of a client to me or any other business.

Confusion: When You Lose A Bit Of Focus

I have to admit that sometimes I just confuse myself. If I lose focus for a time I can easily forget a project for a few days and this month is a month for losing focus. Tomorrow is my wife’s birthday, next week my daughter’s 18th and at the start of next month my youngest daughter’s 4th birthday.

My Other Blog's Birthday or Milestone

I don’t know whether it is a birthday or a milestone but the next post I put up on Houses For Sale In Spain will be the 500th post on the site. To celebrate I am going to eat a cake! However for my clients it will mean a huge difference because there is going to be an announcement that will surprise and delight in equal measure.
