So a road trip is in order just for her and me, all the way through Spain, over the Pyrenees into France, through Bordeaux an up the west side of France and Paris because it is a bit more interesting than the motorway straight from Barcelona to Paris and then over the channel or possibly under the channel by the Chunnel.

You may have seen Mike CJ's awesome post on this site about how to deal with a traffic spike (If not check it out here) Well I am going to tell you more about the trafic spike as today is the reason we got it.

The General Strike in Spain today is not the 1929 general strike. It is not even the General Strike that paralysed Asturias when I lived there in the 1990's where 100% of people followed it. However it is a highly searched for term on Google as people try to find out more about it. The question is though why are they trying to find out more?

Last week on a couple of blogs I suddenly noticed a huge traffic spike, much more traffic than expected on a couple of blogs. I had a quick look at analytics and discovered that it was all to do with the general stirke in Spain on Wednesday the 29th of September. Keyword ranking for that term had gone crazy as had searches as people due to be flying out or already here wanted to know what would be happening.

I am not going to coat this with any sugar. If you don't have a mailing list you don't have a business. If you have a business but haven't thought of creating a mailing list then you have seriously missed the biggest trick. Today's post is all about a real world example of creating a mailing list and what it can do for you. In the internet marketing world you are told that the money is in the list. In the real estate world it is imperative that the list is maintained and fed regularly with solid advice. So let's go back to basics.
